At last, the weather is on our side, so the great outside tidy up has started. And thanks to our team of volunteers last Saturday, we've already made a difference, as I hope you can see from this before and after picture.
We've finally taken down the Save The Bromley Cross signs, started laying a patio, put up the hanging basket brackets and started painting the outside.
We've got an old favourite returning to The Cross on Saturday 3rd June. Cash Bingo, with Bryn and Paul doing the calling. Expect the unexpected.
Thanks to everyone who came to our first wine tasting and special thanks to Neils Dubro of Street Wines. It sounds like it was a great success and we hope to have Neils back soon.
Neils Dubro the owner of Colchester based Street Wines Ltd will be talking about the myths and misconceptions or grape varieties. If well supported we hope to make this a regular event and maybe introduce a range of up market wines.
Thanks to Great Bromley Parish Council and The British Heart Foundation we now have a community defibrillator outside the Cross Inn. If you want to know how to use CPR and the defibrillator then please come to our free CPR and Defibrillator Training Course on Tuesday 9th May at 7:30pm. Please phone Kate on 07592 735600 to book a place.
