Something new at the Bromley Cross. On Thursday 20th April Tony Shelley will be reading from his new memoir "Rock, Paper, Slippers" and answering questions. Copies of the book will be on sale with all profits going to the Alzheimer's Society.
Now we've got our pub back, it means we've got a venue to start and finish our Great Bromley Litter Picks. So please dig out your stout footwear and rubber gloves and join us Sunday 9th April from 10 pm to help clean up the area. The pub will be open by the time you finish for free tea and coffee.
Coming up on Thursday 30th March is our popular acoustic music night. Come along and listen, play, sing, tell jokes, read poetry, etc. The Tea Ladies will be there testing a few new songs and the Columbines will give us a teaser of their Saturday night performance. Geoff Darby will be our MC so anything could happen. And then we are into April.
Thanks to everyone who came to our events last weekend. I think we had our busiest night ever last Saturday 25th March with our Race Night, which raised an amazing £886 towards the refurbishment of the pub. Many thanks to all involved.
Eclectic is the word that springs to mind this week. And I guess that's what a Community Hub has to be, in order to appeal to the whole community. As long as some people like each event, then I think we are getting it right. Please us know what you think at SaveTheBromleyCross@yaho.co.uk
We've got a double bill this weekend to help you celebrate St Patrick's Day on Friday.
