Book It! New Library Service is Just the Ticket for The Great Bromley Cross Community Pub/Hub
Great Bromley and residents of local villages, will shortly be celebrating the latest addition to The Bromley Cross Community Pub/hub when a new Community Library service starts on April 18th between 10am and noon.
The Library, supported by Essex County Council's Library service who will supply the books, will be operated by volunteers and will be open every Wednesday to coincide with the community Post Office opening hours.
Commenting on the new service Kate Strowbridge, a volunteer librarian and Parish Councillor said, "We are delighted to be able to offer local people a Library service and would like to thank ECC for choosing The Bromley Cross to be a venue. With the Post Office, the Coffee Shop, events like Pop Up Shops, Wednesday mornings will be a real hive of activity at The Cross!"
More volunteers are always welcome. If you are interested in helping with the Library service then please call Kate on 07592 735600.
The Bromley Cross was bought by the Community in December 2016 after a public share offer. It aims to be more than a Pub. Operated by a team of enthusiastic volunteers The Cross hosts a wide range of events every month http://www.greatbromleycross.org.uk/forthcoming-events
