Residents of Great Bromley and nearby villages celebrated the opening of a new Post Office and Coffee Shop today (30 August) in the community-owned Great Bromley Cross Pub.
The Post Office, which was opened by long-time Bromley resident Beryl Hurst, will now continue to open every Wednesday between 10am and 12 noon. It will provide a much needed set of services from mobile phone top-ups, foreign currency ordering, banking to the usual Royal Mail postal services at home and abroad.
A new service from the Bromley Cross. Every other Wednesday in the Post Office Coffee Shop, Natalie will be offering manicures and shellac gels at reasonable prices. From 10 till 12 starting 6th September.

The Great Bromley Cross Community Pub kitchen is up and running and here are a few before and after photos so you can see what a difference all the hard work and the generous funding from GCG Environment Trust has made.
Here's a couple of photos taken before we started work. Please note that this was already a huge improvement. The kitchen originally just had the sink, some broken appliances and a load of rubbish!
Great Bromley Village Post Office will be re-opening at the Cross Inn on Wednesday 30th August. Initially it will only be for 2 hours a week from 10 am to noon every Wednesday, but if there is sufficient demand then there will be more sessions. Details of the Post Office consultantion are here.
