Pop up Pub Music Night May 2016
Another great night at our Pop Up Pub Music Night - thanks to everyone for coming.
The venue for our 4th Pop Up Pub was Jim & Lesley's shed at Southview, just down the road for the Cross. The weather was kind, as you can tell from the photo's and the band was even better. Many thanks to "Tea Ladies", who provided a great night's entertainment of alternative Cajun (ish) music. It certainly was an eclectic set - Jessie J, Kylie & Motorhead spring to mind - you can see and hear them on Facebook .
Over 60 people came and showed their support for saving our local pub and helped us raise more funds for the campaign. The good news is that we are now in conversation with the new owner, which means there is still most definitely hope - he even let us use the Cross Inn car park for the night - so please watch this space.
Our next event will be a Sunday Lunchtime Pop Up Pub at Linda & Steve's, Forge Cottage, opposite the pub on July 3rd. It will be family friendly and please bring a picnic. We'll supply the licenced bar from 12 noon to 3 pm, and I hope the weather is as kind as it was on Saturday night. Hope to see you all there.
